Battery AP 500 S

The  STIHL AP System supports you in your  daily gardening, landscaping, and tree care tasks. The matching AP lithium-ion batteries help you use STIHL cordless tools even for demanding jobs. Thanks to 4  LED lights, you are always  informed about the battery's charge status.

Thanks to  Power Laminate Technology, the STIHL AP 500 S battery offers you  twice the number of possible charging cycles compared to previous STIHL batteries.

Thanks to the  integrated Bluetooth^® interface, you can connect the STIHL AP 500 S battery to  STIHL connected and  record and store central battery data. The  versatile options offered by STIHL connected include, for example, retrieving data such as  battery status, the number of charging cycles, and the ability to adjust the charging speed. In addition,  location tracking and identification of individual batteries are part of the STIHL connected system. For example, you can use a smartphone to display the last known GPS position of your AP 500 S battery. If all batteries are within Bluetooth^® range, for example during an outdoor operation, they will be displayed in the STIHL connected app. You can also check whether all batteries are properly stored and put away.

You can charge STIHL AP batteries with a nominal voltage of 36 V with any compatible STIHL charger. We recommend using the  STIHL AL 501 charger for this battery.

STIHL AP batteries have the following energy contents:

• AP 20 with 144 Wh battery energy, 1.3 kg weight
• AP 30 with 270 Wh battery energy, 1.8 kg weight
• AP 200 with 187 Wh battery energy, 1.3 kg weight
• AP 200 S with 187 Wh battery energy, 1.3 kg weight
• AP 300 S with 281 Wh battery energy, 1.8 kg weight
• AP 500 S with 337 Wh battery energy, 2.0 kg weight

Regular maintenance, correct  charging of the lithium-ion battery, and the appropriate environment for  storing the battery will help ensure a long service life.
